Didn't they say the same thing when TV was originally brought out. You'll end up with square eyes etc...

I think it's too far gone to be withdrawn in all honesty, like 3D films which seem to be the norm now.

Well using a computer does just the same, it's all unnatural but then that's evolutions right?

What was the name of that Japanese show that gave loads of kids issues?

I can vouch for exactly what happens when you get too close to a 50hz TV while playing paperboy... I took the ambulance ride...it really wasn't nice.

It's the new HD and give it a couple of years and some companies to bring their prices down and people will end up buying it.

Don't see what all the fuss is about with these new technologies, still have a big CRT screen, been fixed twice now and still going strong.

That's a bit sensationalist.

They're not a health hazard, the problem is one of disorientation and kids are more susceptible to it just like many kids suffer from motion sickness in cars (in essence the same thing) but are fine when they grow up.

TV does not cause eye strain.  It is not a strain on your eyes to watch a tv, there is nothing special about doing so.  The problem with watching tv or using a computer is that your eyes are focussing on a set (near) distance for a prolonged period of time.  It is adviseable to look away for the screen and focus on something in the distance every now and then before returning to look at the screen.  This helps the muscles that control the focussing of your eye.  Another problem is that watching something intently like that, be it a computer screen or anything else you concentrate on, causes you to blink a lot less than you normally would which means you can suffer from dry eyes as the tear membrane is not being refreshed due to the lack of blinking.

3D tv is not going anywhere the only thing that will cause it to be withdrawn is a lack of consumer interest due to having to wear glasses or refusing to buy yet another tv after not long ago buying a flatscreen HD one...

It's actually pretty cheap as it stands.  You can buy a 40" Samsung 3D TV with a Samsung 3D Blu-Ray player and 2 pairs of glasses for £899.  While you can buy *a* Samsung 40" tv and *a* Samsung Blu-Ray player for probably £300 less, the markup is not bad at all.

I suffered terribly with this as a kid and still dislike going on trains now for the same reason.... dont get the problem on the underground though, nothing outside the train to focus on or not in my case.

TV and computers never affected me thankfully...

"ow" and paper boy was an awesome game.....

It's just the usual you-can't-sue-us-because-we've-told-you-about-every-possible-side-effect-imaginable-in-advance.

It's the bit of the manual you don't read even when you get desperate enough to read the instructions.

I hope not, I am waiting for 3D to bring the price of LED TVs down (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/cool.gif) 3D just doesn't work 'for me'. I'd rather spend the money on a awesome LED (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)

My PS3 downloaded an update yesterday - it can now play 3D Bluray (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)

Just need a TV...  I'm not that impressed with 3D films, but 3D games could be interesting (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/cool.gif)

3D porn is where the money will be.
Bizarrely enough, it's the first thing to use any new technology.
