Rather than start on every month, shall update this when it comes around.
The meet is
tomorrow today, usual place, and for as long as people can stick the cold + dark.
Seems the meets been brought forward a month as theres a lot of interest in people getting their cars out.
Would be awesome to see some of you guys, but understand it's a bit of a trek!

Harte and Magpie Pub,
Magpie Lane,

Starting from 6ish to make the most of the light. The place does do good food, although having a quick scan of the beerintheevening guide, it doesn't appear cheap!

Good turn out for start of the season, like an idiot I forgot my camera and even by 6pm the light was so bad my iPhone struggled.
We arrived not long after 5:30 as we came straight from work, had some food (which is very good, if a little pricey). Rich the owner of the '72 Charger turned up not long after 6 alonng with Graham who runs the Hellfire Hot Rod club in his Rover V8 Pop. Along with him came a guy with a '52 tri Chevy 2 door in red and White, looked the mutts! Another tri chevy in blue with 4 doors turned up not much later along with a stinking huge Ford pickup dually!
Time got the better of us and me and Dave had to make tracks although we were given details of another Saturday morning drive in meet just up the road that we shall be going to as well.
When I'm next on my mac I'll post a link to the South Bucks Car Meet Facebook page. Would really appreciate those on fb liking it and spreading the word as I'm not in with a lot of car folks on FB and it's a pretty neat and easy way of spreading the word.

No worries Andy, I thought it would be a bit too dark and cold really, and it was! (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tongue.gif)
But good to see some regulars eager to get going.
The
South Bucks Meet Page will hopefully get some more interest going. I am trying my best to whore it all over the place and various forums.

This coming Tuesday is the first 'Official' meet, after the March one which was a bit dark and cold.
Hoping the weather holds out and it brings the cars out! The Facebook page has already been popular, though people seem to go on it and not like it (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/sad.gif)
Anway, same place, Harte and Magpies Pub, Whipass Hill, Amersham from 7:30 onwards!
ps, after the last meet, the fish and chips is recommended! Also a real ale pub for those who fancy filtering their beer through their teef!

Bring her along tonight, only way to tell if the relationship has legs by how well she can stick being sat in a car park on an April night. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)
Only kiddin' the menu is blooming good, and on top of that if the weathers nice they have tables outside, so May time you can have your dinner and look at the cars! Best of both worlds!

Are you sure that's the quickest way? I did a couple of trips to MK and found the back roads to wing and then getting on the A5 bypass the quickest. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/cool.gif)
Think Martin is more Luton way, i'd go Hemel, A41 to Chesham, then Amersam and you're there, nice route(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)
Ah in which case yeah, A41 then Chesham Amersham. Some nice bits of road around there too, can also check your car out going up that hill!

i think we need a northants car meet page...
Really simple to make Art, literally did our one within an hour. It's establishing it that can be difficult.
Best way I've found is adding the main car clubs that are of the meets interest (MOCGB, CCUK - Both clubs come along) and then just post links in forums.
The ability to 'tag' in wall posts is useful too, as rather than just saying it and hoping they find their way to your page later, adding the hyperlink means that they only have to click it there and then.
Originally I was going to set it up as just a photo dump for the photos of cars that turned up, but now there is some communication going through it with other small local meets too.
ive made a start on the northants meet page, (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)
hey andy which is the best group type to use...?
I used 'Page' as opposed to 'Groups' because Page make it a bit easier to manage in my opinion. When you post to the wall etc, it pops up in anyone who 'likes' the page wall.
An important thing is to keep it updated (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)

cool i will ask my fagbook guru daughter...(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)
Another thing to do is when you use Facebook as the 'Page' like other stuff like Owners clubs etc, then post on their walls. All helps with the publicity a bit.
Tagging is a great feature to use as well. Put at '@' symbol in a wall post, a drop down menu will appear that'll allow you to select other Pages, People and Groups. That post will then appear on their wall, saves have to post over various pages.
For example, after our first meet, I wrote a wall post thanking, the @Vette Owners Club UK and @MOCGB. These all showed up on there wall and it's just a nice way of easy publicity.

Amazing meet though, had a couple of things working against us. I reckon the Beaconsfield Fair ment a lot of pubs / restaurants in the town were not doing business and ment there were a lot of punters for the restaurant so the car park was quite full even when we were first to arrive at 6:30!

Here we go again.
Tuesday night will be the June meet for the South Bucks lot, after the previous two meets it's starting to get hard to beat with full car parks at each one, on though with the possibility of rain this one might be harder to sell (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tongue.gif)
Usual place, usual time! If the weather does look good try to get there as soon after 7 to guarantee a space.
Pics to follow!

Yep, with todays rain its not exactly looking 'June' weather. Me and Dave will be coming the Camaro I reckon. We still haven't had time to get the car on ramps to check out the steering and see how serious of an issue it is.
What a brilliant night, perfect t-shirt weather, perfect set of cars, with new ones showing up every meet! Heard word there would be a few dropping by on their way back from Le Mans, also a stunning true proper hot rod showed up.
Pics to follow tonight. Had a great chat with Andy about the Power Big Meet... Planted an idea there for a holiday!
Was a good meet, numbers a little down on last month but still one of the better turnouts. Drove there and back with the top down
Right you lot, we're here again! Tonight meet should be good to go with the forecasters saying the rain won't come until tomorrow morning!
Looking at having the first run out for the Mustang too after it's stay in the workshop. Steering and brakes now sorted, moving it around on the drive (as much as I'm allowed to do) it feels pretty damn good.
So, usual place (Harte and Magpies Pub) usual time (7pm) seeya there!

Camaro is still waiting for her exterior valet, so no chance of her making an appearance tonight (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/polish.gif)
Enjoy (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/can.gif)
Another corker of a meet, another bunch of cars I've not seen before too! Always good to have some newbies to look at. We were down on numbers but plenty to see...

Our '67 Coupe, fresh out of the workshop last week, no hairy steering or dodgey brakes. Still plenty to work on though!

Looks pretty beat up, but was actually kitted out with an air shifter, some upgraded Corvette brakes and a bunch of other neat stuff.

This Coupe had to be my car of the night, not a bad thing to say about it. Martin would have a field day polishing it, lots of bits of chrome tucked under it...

I've organised a few meets, you need to remind people about a week before hand, then 2 days before and finally on the day (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)

Martin Coopers '66 Mustang Coupe
Is he the very rude Guy who wears a hat, also has a modern Mustang and a mobility Scooter (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)
Don't think the '71 Maro looks that beaten up, well not compared to Jamie's (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/rofls.gif)

Has never been rude to me, lovely chap and always up for a chat. Does have a slight problem with remembering names though!
Yeah my bad, I haven't really been on it this last month and it kinda crept up on me. I will set reminders for the September meet, although we're now coming close to the last one of the year!
Was a good night, fair few cars there(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)
