Seems that Halfords have a sale on their RollCabs. If you buy the chest, you get the top section for free.
http://www.volkszone.com/VZi/showthread.php?t=773645Anyone have any experience of these? (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif) I've been needing a decent toolbox for a while. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/mechanic2.gif)
Going to Halfords this weekend to judge the sizes.

I'm pretty sure that the professional range comes with a good warranty. I will ask though, good point.
I've given all the Halfords roll cabs a try out and have never been happy with any of them. Personally I think they're just a little over-priced and a little low on quality.
None (of the lower-priced ones) compare with the CostCo roll cabs but if you're after a small cab then you may also want to consider Clarke ones - I looked at these before getting mine and found them in the same league as halfords ones but tended to be cheaper - at the time, at least.

CostCo roll cabs
My friend has one of these - a black one with a 'pull-out' work bench! It's awesome, a full size roller cab. I think it only cost him about £600 too (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif) However, I don't have a CostCo card (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/down.gif)
I inherited my roller cab set up from the previous machine operator here, although I added my own Sealey top box.
Talco (now no longer available) and Faccom are the two winning brands in our workshop. I really want a massive Snap-on one though! (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tongue.gif)
My brothers monster Snap-On roll cab was comparable in quality to my CostCo one . . . . albeit about four times the price and only a fraction bigger if at all !
How wide is yours? (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/taunt.gif) (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tongue.gif)
Too much for you to handle (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/smirk.gif)
Dunno, 41" rings a bell . . . my Bro's Snap-On was 44" I think.
Would you mind measuring the length exactly and roughly how much was it? (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/dontknow.gif)
Would really like to compare before going for a Halfords one. The VZi guys think they are fairly good quality for the money.
I could get
this and
this for
£249Or
This and
this for
£319Both are around 685mm long.
I just don't want to spend 320 quid if the CostCo one is only a little more money but much bigger. I'll just find a way of buying one. If it is much more money though, I'd be quite happy with the Halfords one I think (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)

It maybe worth noting I haven't seen these in Costco for quite a while now...
Though I'm going in tonight before climbing so will have a look.

Sealey are alright. Got a cab and toolbox of theirs and it's plenty good enough for our shop!
My CostCo one is 1040mm Wide.
EDIT - I wouldn't waste my time on the Halfords "Red" ones - utter cr@p, IMO, I can't resist having a quick play on the odd occasions I go into a store.
The "Black" ones are better. Still not fantastic but I'm very fussy. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tongue.gif)

Okay, depending on what you or Incursus reply with regarding price and availability, I'll have a good play with the Halford's ones at the weekend. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/littleboy.gif)

They didn't have the same one Roadkill has but they did have this...
That is reaaaaalllyy nice! It's just under half double the width of the Halford's ones, but obviously not as tall.
How high would you say it was? Not sure from that picture (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)
Just thinking, this one could be wider, but you end up with the same amount of useable space as the Halford's one is taller. However, you have a nice work bench with the CC one (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)
Thanks for looking for me Inc.. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/clap3.gif)
I've been eyeing that black costco one up, I've already got the huge roll cab but that bench looks awesome. Just trying to figure out if the damn thing will fit anywhere. It's HUGE!

The Base cabinet on mine is 40" (1020mm) high . . . . but, looking at Chris' picture I'd guess that one was more like 3' (900mm)
Of course, you could buy two, not fit the wheels to one and remove the bench on the other, then bolt one of top of the other. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/beavisnbutthead.gif)
I so want that black one with the bench. It is the same price as the most expensive Halfords one.
Problem is, there is not a CostCo near me and I can't find anyone else that stocks CSPS products (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/TutTutSmiley.gif)
I think the costco rollcab was about £450ish. mine is FULL now, but still has the protective white film on the drawer fronts... sad huh!

Near Wisbech dude.
I'm devising a plan with a buddy in MK to use his CostCo card if I decide the Halfords ones aren't that good. I'm in Northampton next weekend, so I'll get one then if the plan works out.
Got to say, I am really liking that black CSPS one Incursus found (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/actcool.gif)

They're now way too expensive.
Went to Halfords today and was disappointed with the size and quality of the RollCabs. :nono:
So seems like the choice has to be one of the CostCo boxes.
Bought one from CostCo today (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)
Wasn't sure about the quality, seemed OK, also didn't like not being able to check the RollCab for damage as it was boxed up with straps, but as I had travelled to MK and arranged to meet a buddy to use his CostCo card, I just thought **** it and bought it. In Northamton until Monday night, so will have to wait until then to in-box it. :chinny:
Was quite heavy moving it around and squeezing it into the back of the Cherokee!
Thanks again to Incursus for letting me know they were there.. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)
nice one let us know what you think...(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)
Okay, so got it out the back of the Cherokee last night and put the wheels and handles on.
Thought I would get all of the tools transfered into it, but as fast as I got things done last night, I didn't get time. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/diy.gif)
Had a little play with it. Seems reasonable quality, way bigger than my current boxes. Little disappointed with the wheels which are a hard plastic rather than rubber, but I doubt I will be moving it that much. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)
Work top is nice, might have to cover it to stop it getting damaged too quickly.

They look very bling.
Mine are heavy duty hard rubber castors - not as bling but do the job nicely.
Hmm didn't think to look at the wheels (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)

that looks like a nice cab, I've had my eye on several of the cosco bits lately, I think I'll be needing a bigger garage though!

I should add that there was also a dent on the underside of the cab, but nothing that affects using it and especially nothing that warrants hoofing it back to CostCo! (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/nono.gif)

I didn't either, I just assumed they would be rubber. Not a massive issue, just would have been nice to finish it off properly.
However, the 'front' wheels do have nice working brakes (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/cool.gif)
