Classified on eBay is the only way I would list a car for sale on eBay.
I rate it much higher than Autotrader.

Fekker bid at the end then sent me an email saying their son placed the bid and he can't insure a 1.8l.
It had 1.8l mentioned at least 3 times in the listing. They offered me £10 to sell to the next highest bidder but the next bidder was already bidding on something else !

I hate selling on eBay . . . it's fine for buying - but selling ? (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/down.gif)

You can also try listing it Gumtree, which is free if you choose the basic listing and do not choose the listing add-ons and features. I have my Pop's old Mondeo on there at the moment for spares and repair. I listed yesterday around 16:00 and I have had 1 offer and two replies.

Gumtree
Yeah, I might do that . . . It just p!sses me off as it sold ! . . . Of course eBay don't support their sellers at all (and ironically it's the sellers that make them their money !!)
Now on Gumtree . . . and wow, Gumtree's much quicker and easier to list on than Egay !!
Impressed ! (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/clap3.gif)

Yes, which is surprising as Egay own it. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/huh.gif)
I am thinking they will monazite it soon. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)

Now up to five replies and one person booked to view tomorrow. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif)
yup eaby bidding is open to numpties [the criteria for joining ebay is as bad as fagbook](http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/smirk.gif)
but with the ebay classified add [the same as gumtree]
the buyer has to contact the seller ,
so only people who need to buy will get involved....
i had 4 calls,all on sunday aft...(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/rolleyes.gif)
two people made it to view ,
the second person got their money out, [the 1st person was a divvi tbh, ]
i definitely feel you will get a bigger audience on ebay ...my car got around 190 views in 2 days...(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/cool.gif)

Exactly my thoughts.
eBay bidding allows people tucked up in bed somewhere in Scotland to bid on a car in Lands-end, just because they can. I think some people think that once they have won, that then allows them to ask all the questions they need to.
I prefer to have a price of X and a number - if you want to consider the car at that price, then call me.

Well, the ad's been up for 8 hours, now . . . . I priced it at £595 . . . seems to be in the right ball-park compared to others on there.
Fingers crossed. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/rolleyes.gif)
Got a guy coming round tonight with cash to pick it up apparently !
We've negotiated a price £50 higher than it went for on eBay, plus I can claim the FVF's back from the original auction, too !

I'm not finished with that lame-ass "winning" bidder from eBay, yet, though . . .

Well done buddy.
Apparently our Mondeo was collected without any hassle on Saturday too (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif)
They'd originally offered to stump-up £10 for me to sell to another bidder . . . when I went back to cancel the transaction this got totally forgotten !
