Cor, you're picking up the youth lingo!
Not to bad, predictably scripted, with a section in the middle of star car thing. Enjoyable hour of three blokes messing with cars!
Taped it...(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)
I thought it was pretty lame really, the program is getting 99% predictable (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/down.gif)
For a first show I would say it was pretty lame. Only one feature and that was about three cars that they ended up blowing up.
I would guess their budget might be getting reduced...
Well that was an hour of my life I'll never get back (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/down.gif)
I thought last year's series was crap towards the end, but I see they are intent on carrying on where they left off! Its become 'the three stooges breaking shit' show.
Where's Fifth Gear when you need it? come back, all is forgiven
I've said the format has been stale for a while.
Hammond really annoys me. He's like an attention seeking kid (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/baby.gif)
I would much rather watch Roadkill (the series, not the dude on this forum with an OCD for building stuff (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/taunt.gif)) than Top Gear now. Much fresher and from an enthusiasts point-of-view.
I think I will still watch Top Gear when I can as it is still about cars, but only on iPlayer where I can skip large chunks of it. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/rolleyes.gif)
I've never had any channels where other "Petrol-head" TV shows are broadcast so have literally never seen ANY of them (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/down.gif)

You must have missed a few threads about Roadkill then!

Agreed the BBC content isn't as good as it used to be, but not watching that much TV it doesn't has something that all the other channels offer me (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/dontknow.gif)
ADVERTS !
That's why I love Sky+ (and the likes) . . . . Record the program, fast-forward through the adverts in 6 seconds . . . I even FF through the opening credits of the program to save myself an extra 30 seconds !

Given the few hours of television I watch a week there is no way I am going to pay for Sky, plus all the decent channels are extra and you can only watch one channel at a time unless you buy more boxes (we have 5 TV's).
Our next door neighbours pay £115 a month on Sky (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/shame.gif)
Edit : Mind you we never see them and the garden is completely overgrown, so they must get their moneys worth (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tv.gif)
Sky+ Rocks....

Just two more reasons I don't watch Top Gear. (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/lol.gif)
I lasted all of 11 minutes before switching over. TG is now dead to me, fortunately I have a season and a half of Fast and Loud to catch up on. Rawlings may be just as irritating but at least he doesn't dress like a 70 year old and there are cars that are at least worth looking at.

Didn't bother watching last nights episode, but here is an interesting write up on how the show is filmed :

Just watched it on iplayer, best one so far this series (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)
Didn't Titsy say that when Racelogic were doing the data logging for one episode that the events were all staged ?
About as "Factual" as "The only Way is Essex" or "Made in Chelsea".

Yes, totally agree. We watched it 'offline' on the tablet on the plane to Germany and the beginning started out all too routine for Top Gear, annoying Hammond making innuendos and generally acting like an attention-starved kid, BUT THEN James May presents a segment about withdrawing the military vehicles from Afghanistan which was brilliant and very interesting!
I wondering if they will sell any (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/chiny.gif) (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tongue.gif)
