£3,250

Looks a bit scabby, but useable?

That's why I hate traditional Day vans . . . hideously over-priced for what they are.

Not bad, though.

As a sidenote, Martyn had a similar Day van and it kept chewing fan belts . . . IIRC, he never solved the problem.

Indeed you can probably get a good SN95 Stang or a 4th Gen for that money..maybe even a V8.

I struggled to even get interest at £3k for mine..(http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/can.gif).

Depends what you want really.

Nah! The V8 4th gens are holding off at around the £5k mark and aren't budging. Even a rare SS only commanded £7k a few months ago.

CP - Personally, urgh. Never been a fan of Dayvans, I like the Astro stuff when I was younger, but then discovered the error of my ways.

That probably looks like it needs some serious tlc on the inside and out. I guess the roof will probably be an even more sorry state than just the bits you can see. Gives no clue as to the mileage or whether the engine has been looked after, and as far as I can remember these things are a nightmare to work on. Engine covers under the dash etc.

If you knocked him sub £2.5k that would make it look more reasonable.

Dangerous that! I keep looking around, I know I shouldn't, but if a decent looking 4th Gen with an LS comes up I might end up jumping.

Yes, this actually annoys me, no mention of service history or milage. I guess that kind of information just does not matter when you are buying a vehicle? (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/dontknow.gif) (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/rolleyes.gif)

Actually, I thought it was a little 'scabby', but compared to most old VWs, it looks solid! (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/tongue.gif)

I am not really keen on the Astros. They are alright, but I would prefer a proper Day Van.

For example, this gets me hard:

Hmmf, I know, but again, I am not that keen on them.

For example, this gets me hard:

The G20's are crap (really crap) for economy and seem to rust like . . err . . any other Chevy or Pontiac of that era (and that's bad).
