Title: MOT Time.
Post by: F Body on April 04, 2009, 07:12:58 PM
Can hardly believe it's nearly 3 years since the Panda took over from the GMC as F Body family transport (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/shame.gif)
Still the 46k miles have been cheaper at an average 52mpg rather than the GMC's 26mpg (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)
Managed to schive off work at 5pm today and check out the brakes, the front pads were replaced 10k ago and look hardly worn, the rear are past their best but still have another 10/15k in them (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)

I really enjoy reading FB's posts.. Look at the detail, even the air gun has been placed on a rag to stop it getting dirty and scratched... (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/cool.gif)

Nope the air gun gets thrown on the floor, it was windy and the rag kept blowing away (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/wink.gif)

Passed! (http://mkb-cc.yanksrule.co.uk//Forum/smileys/up.gif) but with an advisory that the park brake efficiency was at 18% and the limit is 16%, so I'll take a look at that at some point... I've got some callipers to swap over at some point (and maybe an axle) so I'll check things out then... I'm guessing that fitting reconditioned callipers will sort things out...

Its not on that diagram, its the M12 x 1.75 x 20mm Flange Hex head bolt that attaches the calliper (via Part 17) to the axle.
