yes mate real strange,

Made the wires up and tested them with a cat 5 tester ok, great plug in to the pc's and the patch panel and nothing. test leads again definatley ok, make a couple of other leads al test ok none work. In the end decided to copy the colors found on the net and they work. What gives? i thought as long as the ends were the same it didnt matter what color the wire was, not like the computer can see it.
Are the wires made of different materials or something?
